quick update

Not too much new to update... Liam had his second birthday party and we had a blast having friends and wonderful family over!!
The boys loved having their cousins spend the night and much trouble was caused :)
Us girls enjoyed our wine come bedtime ;)

Officer...

Well I was hired by a local department and I am pretty excited... passed my background and polygraph (that was hellish) and then last Friday I was sworn in!
I am pretty psyched to start... hopefully this week!!!

Schools out for the summer!!!

Dennis finished Pre School with a Luau and some great food!!
He is extremely happy to be done with school... I have no idea what we are going to do next year... but he has one more year left before Kindergarten...

Dennis's new thing is that he sleeps with his eyes open. He of course doesn't REALLY but he is determined to and says "this is how God created me, to sleep with my eyes open!!"

Today was the PT test and I passed!! YAY!!!!! Got my interview time for this upcoming week!
I walked in the house and Dennis was there to greet me with lots of kisses :)

Where on earth did this little baby go??? Today after the Parade in Gorham we had some quality playground time... even I got in on the action!
One did everything by himself... grabbed my hand when he got excited to get me to look in the direction of whatever he was excited about!!
He is so cute... He and Dennis had a blast playing... here is my fav pic of the day!

The PD I want to work for has posted a job opening for an officer!!!
At first I was scared of the polygraph and the background and psych and taking the PT to qualify... NOW it's the damn push ups... that is all that I feel is standing in my way...
I can do the sit ups... I can run the mile and a half... but the push ups...
My mantra is now " I gave birth drug free... I can do the push ups..." Lets make that happen!

alarm

there seems to be a broken alarm here at the PD.. something we are monitoring.. every 1 minute it goes off... I can not reset it.. I don't like the noise.. BUT I am starting to ignore it..
my eyes are heavy and I am ready for bed... but I must be a good mother and stay awake... it will definitely be an interesting day...

the lake is finally thawing!

Finally some warmth in the air!! We went across the street to see how much of the lake was thawing and the boys had fun throwing sand into the water! Fistful after fistful of sand!! One thought it might be a good idea to attempt swimming but found the water to be a bit too cold! Here are a couple of pics of them being boys!

I thought I was being nice the other day... I told Dennis I would put Scooby Doo on for him while I showered if he promised not to do anything naughty!

I get to cuddle for HOURS with them.... seriously. I love that.

Ok 1st of all the boys are all sick... bronchitis, sinusitis, & ear infections! (well lucky for Dennis he is the only one w/o an ear infection!)
Anyway last night I was sitting out on the couch with Dennis and One last night.
I told Dennis that eventually when I get a job as a police officer (b/c he has now said he is ok with it and will let me have my police clothes.) I will have to go away and sleep at police school for quite a few nights but get to come home and cuddle all night with him on the weekends.
I told him that was how I would learn to be a good officer. He says "Are you scared Mama?" I said I was a little bit because I had never done it before and he told me that when I go he will buy me presents and send me pictures all the time. He also said "Don't be scared mama. I will buy you a present and it will be ok"

He is precious.

SO at 5:30 I was getting ready for work and the boys were all coughing and did not know I was listening and I hear "Daddy you know when Mommy goes to Police School I am going to buy her presents and make her stuff" It totally made me smile huge...
I love that kid.

running

I started running again yesterday. Nothing impressive. In May I am doing a 5k...
I hope I make it without embarrassing myself lol!

ohhhhh shopping carts are dirty???

Today while shopping with a fellow Public Safety person at a well known big box store Dennis was sitting in the cart. She and I were smelling candles and One was sleeping in the sling as he is pretty sick :( ANYWAY a kind man (rolling my eyes) informs me Dennis has his mouth on the edge of the cart and it is dirty. I said "Oh it is? Oh thats ok, he has a SUPER immune system but thank you for being so worried." I asked Dennis why he was chewing on it and he informed me he was very hungry.
I bought him some chicken.

Poor One would not let me put him down at all today... EVEN in the shower... poor baby..

Got my date...

I officially start the reserve officer course May 5th! My goal is to apply immediately the next time the department I want to work in is hiring.
Crossing my fingers... it will be hard to be away from the kids for the actual 18 week academy but in the end it will be worth it. Did I mention how excited I am??
I have always known what I wanted to do.. way back when I would sit at my mom's desk and she would tell me not to look through her papers and of course I would...

Cinderella Shit

Hopefully too many won't be offended by my language here... *insert me rolling my eyes*

The other night I was hanging out at the PD and one of the guys asked me why I had not baked the cupcakes (instead I bought some and brought them over). I said " I already spent the day doing Cinderella shit and didn't feel like adding more to the list"
Some of the guys laughed. One even said he was going to steal that.

SO I just wanted to define Cinderella shit for anyone who wonders what falls under it.

Cinderella shit is as follows:
Cooking
Cleaning- like real cleaning not just surface stuff.
Sewing
Ironing
Laundry
Taking care of the animals.

Please be aware that tending to the kids does not fall under Cinderella shit. That is under domestic goddess work.

Just call him Luke.

Today Dennis informed me that he is now Luke. (as in skywalker).
He said to only call him Luke and make sure I call him Luke EVERYtime I talk to him.

I agreed to do so.

I was in the bathroom getting ready for work... 'Luke' came in to talk to me which he does EVERYTIME I enter the bathroom... (so does Hamilton who is now known ask Skippy John Jones and One and usually a cat or 2)...our coversation went like this:

Luke: Do I have to take a nap with Daddy today?

Me: Yes dear.

Luke: CALL ME LUKE EVERYTIME.

Me: Yes Luke.

Luke: I don't want to take a nap today!!!

Me: Jedi's must take naps.

Luke: Is Luke a Jedi?

Me:Yes, Luke.

Luke: All Jedi's take naps?

Me: Yes they do.

Luke: Ok.

Have to brag on Vday

Because there is always work to be done I worked 7-3 on Vday then K got in at 3 and worked until 11pm and I came back in at 11pm and worked until 7am!!
I came home the 15th and went to bed and the boys went out so I could get some sleep.
I was woken up round 1230 by Dennis with a precious rose and card. Very very sweet. Both boys "signed" it. THEN Dennis went back downstairs and came back up with a dozen roses and a sweet card from K...
Props to the boys.

Someone just brought me a GIGANTIC bag of only green M&Ms.
YAY for the m&ms... those can not be good for my new jeans.

Dennis turns 4!

Dennis is 4 today! WOW!!!!
I am the mother of a 4 year old!!! That alone scares me!!

Today Dennis informed me that now that he is 4 "technically he should be able to climb the walls like spiderman" lol!

He did try each and EVERY wall in the WHOLE house!!!
I told him technically he has to wait till he is 5

I am so proud of my boy. He is loving, caring, funny, smart, and genuinely sweet!! He still tells me daily he wants to marry me and I accept. I love this boy. I am a VERY lucky mother.

Super Powers...

Super Dennis: "I have super powers!!"
Queen: "Of course you do!! What are they?"
Super Dennis: "Well Daddy says farting is my super power!"
Queen: "wonderful."

And before Dennis told ME what daddy had told him... he told his teacher...

One more reason NOT to call 911.

911 is NOT 411... 4 times this week I have been told the city, state and business or listing they are looking for!!
It is always OOPS I thought I was calling 411... the 9 is not even under the 4 on a phone!! THE 7 IS!
SO if you call 911 by "accident" you are just dumb!

PLEASE do not call 911 if:

Please do not call us if you left your eggs out on your desk at work... We do not want to break into your office and place them into the fridge. They will be spoiled anyway.. go buy a new carton. For real- don't call. I will be sure everyone knows who you are.

Don't call us because you need directions, try mapquest.com before you leave home if you don't know where you are headed.

Don't call us when your power is out, we have NO IDEA why it is out, when it will be back on, and furthermore, since we are on a generator we really don't give a damn that its out to begin with.

Don't call us because you and your co worker at the local dunkin donuts are fighting about the jelly that goes in the donuts. Really We do not care. You probably need to quit eating the donuts while you make them anyway. Really don't call.

Don't call us because your 5 year old won't clean his/her bedroom, try a little smack across the face, it tends to smarten them up a bit (and NO, you can't be arrested for spanking your child, unless you leave lasting marks)...

Please do not call and tell me NOT to drive home because you believe that God's working through you telling you to call me to tell me not to drive in the storm. It scares me. And when you invited me to your house to stay so I didn't have to drive- that scared me even more-- does your husband have girls chained in the basement?? That is what I pictured.

Don't call me because you don't like your son's girlfriends cat and you want us to take it to the vet for you. We do not do that. Even the animal control officer does not do that.

No we will not unlock a building for you because you are on an authorization list posted inside next to the break room. Do not argue for 15 minutes with me about it. Still no.

Do not call us when your kid does not get into college. We will not give you the address of the President or his phone number. We just won't. Your kid says "they messed up the paper work". No, your kid did not get back in because he has been arrested 4 times this year and we have called rescue even more for his drunk self.

Furthermore, ma'am, when you call and ask us why your daughter was arrested last night for the 3rd time this week for underage drinking and disorderly conduct perhaps it's time to get more involved in her life. Clearly she has a drinking problem. No ma'am it really is a problem.

Oh and when your car is in the process of being towed because you parked it IN THE MIDDLE OF A ROADWAY, don't tell us the dispatcher you talked to last night said it was ok.
He didn't.

Seriously?! How can I not love snuggling with my boys every night??? The Mister and I love having the boys sleep with us!!!!

Just what the title says...
I have never really been superstitious (my old Irish Aunts are doing the sign of the cross I can feel it) BUT it seem every time the Mister wears this stupid tie to work he does not make good money... it happened enough times that we started noticing it... Friday night it happened again... as he was getting ready for work Saturday he went to put the tie on.. I said HOLD IT!! NO WAY and brought up the fact that the tie seems to be jinxed... so he told me to throw it in the fire....
so I DID! AND he made great money last night!!!
