Not too much new to update... Liam had his second birthday party and we had a blast having friends and wonderful family over!!
The boys loved having their cousins spend the night and much trouble was caused :)

Where on earth did this little baby go??? Today after the Parade in Gorham we had some quality playground time... even I got in on the action!
One did everything by himself... grabbed my hand when he got excited to get me to look in the direction of whatever he was excited about!!

The PD I want to work for has posted a job opening for an officer!!!
At first I was scared of the polygraph and the background and psych and taking the PT to qualify... NOW it's the damn push ups... that is all that I feel is standing in my way...
I can do the sit ups... I can run the mile and a half... but the push ups...
My mantra is now " I gave birth drug free... I can do the push ups..." Lets make that happen!

Finally some warmth in the air!! We went across the street to see how much of the lake was thawing and the boys had fun throwing sand into the water! Fistful after fistful of sand!! Ok 1st of all the boys are all sick... bronchitis, sinusitis, & ear infections! (well lucky for Dennis he is the only one w/o an ear infection!)
Anyway last night I was sitting out on the couch with Dennis and One last night.
I told Dennis that eventually when I get a job as a police officer (b/c he has now said he is ok with it and will let me have my police clothes.) I will have to go away and sleep at police school for quite a few nights but get to come home and cuddle all night with him on the weekends.
I told him that was how I would learn to be a good officer. He says "Are you scared Mama?" I said I was a little bit because I had never done it before and he told me that when I go he will buy me presents and send me pictures all the time. He also said "Don't be scared mama. I will buy you a present and it will be ok"

He is precious.

SO at 5:30 I was getting ready for work and the boys were all coughing and did not know I was listening and I hear "Daddy you know when Mommy goes to Police School I am going to buy her presents and make her stuff" It totally made me smile huge...

Today while shopping with a fellow Public Safety person at a well known big box store Dennis was sitting in the cart. She and I were smelling candles and One was sleeping in the sling as he is pretty sick :( ANYWAY a kind man (rolling my eyes) informs me Dennis has his mouth on the edge of the cart and it is dirty. I said "Oh it is? Oh thats ok, he has a SUPER immune system but thank you for being so worried." I asked Dennis why he was chewing on it and he informed me he was very hungry.
I bought him some chicken.

Poor One would not let me put him down at all today... EVEN in the shower... poor baby..

I officially start the reserve officer course May 5th! My goal is to apply immediately the next time the department I want to work in is hiring.

The other night I was hanging out at the PD and one of the guys asked me why I had not baked the cupcakes (instead I bought some and brought them over). I said " I already spent the day doing Cinderella shit and didn't feel like adding more to the list"
Some of the guys laughed. One even said he was going to steal that.

SO I just wanted to define Cinderella shit for anyone who wonders what falls under it.

Cinderella shit is as follows:
Cooking
Cleaning- like real cleaning not just surface stuff.

Ironing
Laundry
Taking care of the animals.

Please be aware that tending to the kids does not fall under Cinderella shit. That is under domestic goddess work.

He said to only call him Luke and make sure I call him Luke EVERYtime I talk to him.

I was in the bathroom getting ready for work... 'Luke' came in to talk to me which he does EVERYTIME I enter the bathroom... (so does Hamilton who is now known ask Skippy John Jones and One and usually a cat or 2)...our coversation went like this:

Because there is always work to be done I worked 7-3 on Vday then K got in at 3 and worked until 11pm and I came back in at 11pm and worked until 7am!!
I came home the 15th and went to bed and the boys went out so I could get some sleep.
I was woken up round 1230 by Dennis with a precious rose and card. Very very sweet. Both boys "signed" it. THEN Dennis went back downstairs and came back up with a dozen roses and a sweet card from K...

I am so proud of my boy. He is loving, caring, funny, smart, and genuinely sweet!! He still tells me daily he wants to marry me and I accept. I love this boy. I am a VERY lucky mother.

I have never really been superstitious (my old Irish Aunts are doing the sign of the cross I can feel it) BUT it seem every time the Mister wears this stupid tie to work he does not make good money... it happened enough times that we started noticing it... Friday night it happened again... as he was getting ready for work Saturday he went to put the tie on.. I said HOLD IT!! NO WAY and brought up the fact that the tie seems to be jinxed... so he told me to throw it in the fire....

We had a wonderful Thanksgiving!!! I am SO thankful that I got to spend an amazing time with my family. Especially my mom who is currently fighting cancer.
We really had a blast!! She even cooked the whole meal!! and made extra pie for me to take home!
One, as expected, ate everything on his plate... Dennis on the other hand wanted a little chicken and bad salt as he calls it... and whipped cream ;)
Dennis and Papa played football after dinner and that was a blast for all!

So Dennis started taking things.. putting things in his pocket that did not belong to him.. great huh? Clepto at 3.. SO we had to have a talk with him.. Explained that you can't take things that do not belong to you.. how would you like it if someone took your things ect...
Well that worked for a day... THEN his teacher pulls the Mister aside...
Says that he was putting things in his pocket multiple times today... WONDERFUL...
SO We have another talk with him- tell him he will lose his Ninja turtle costume and sword.. (he even likes to sleep in it sometimes) well that sorta worked but I had to lay it on him.. bring out the big guns... yep..GOD/ Jesus...
I grabbed the bible and opened to the 10 commandments and we read them... (course the adultery one was hard to explain to a 3 yr old)
SO he comes up with a plan... every commandment he follows every day he gets a penny lol... 10 pennies a day...
He gets off easy due to the fact he can't go committing adultery...
SO we are actually learning them.. I thought hey this works!
He can repeat many of them to me now... AND I can say "that's not honoring your mother and father... you're going to lose a penny..." yes.. it works...

Nothing says welcome to the new neighborhood like a small tin of flaming cat poo on your porch! lol!! Given that Halloween is less than a week away I am not worried.. I love our new neighborhood... But someone left us a little aluminum cupcake wrapper with kitty poo...
And some burned leaves... so clearly they were not even smart enough to do it the right way which is dog poop in a bag on fire so you have to stomp it out... and not on a rainy night either...

No matter how many seconds One is alone his new thing this week is hats.. not just any hat.. special hats..
He will make his way into the bathroom and remove the backing off a panty liner and place it carefully on his head.. yes.. a panty liner..
WHAT in the heck!?
2 different times this week I caught him with them on... and I chased him around to get a picture like a nice mom..I kept finding the backing to them all around the house.. I was beginning to wonder if we had mice who were looking for bedding!!! Once while I ran to get my phone to take the picture he managed to go through my purse and get in my wallet and throw various shoes around the house... ahhh the joys of childhood...

the doors opened and there was the mister crying from up on stage... my daddy and I crying as he walked me down the isle... in front of my family and friends we had quite the ceremony!
I can not believe it has been 5 years since that day!
Of course we were already married since we had eloped on Aug 26th by the moonlight on the water... but that did not change how special that day was for us... amazing...

YAY! We are moving to a cute house on the lake!! I am so excited.. it is such a great family neighborhood with basketball courts & tennis courts... lots of beach... and best of all our own house!
Its will be a very, very peaceful place to live!!!

It all started last night.. Dennis comes into the living room with this wad of wet toilet paper.. I know where you are thinking this is going.. fear not.. you are wrong.. so hang on..
I immediately jump to the conclusion it's a spit ball type thing and yell DO NOT THROW that! HE gets all offended and tells me its TURD.. I say "WHAT!?!"
He says its TURD.. his new turtle... okay....
So he carry's this all around all evening.. bed time comes.. he re wets it.. climbs into bed with me and I grab it to put on the night stand.. freak out time.. he says he is holding it all night long.. b/c he does not want the dog to eat Turd... One of the beasts loves tissues, paper towels and toilet paper..
SO Dennis cuddles in and holds Turd..
Skip ahead to 2:30 am...

Daddy comes to bed. I wake up and ask him if Dennis has anything in his hands.. NO he says... I say GREAT! He is going to FLIP out when we gets up!
Daddy is like WHAT? I explain that he has this wad of toilet paper called TURD and its a turtle and he needs it.. I'm like QUICK go make a new one!! Dennis starts to talk.. its 2:30 am and he is asking WHERES TURD.. Daddy can not stop laughing.. he is dying of laughter.. practically rolling off the bed.. Dennis is flipping out... I'm shushing everyone!!
Daddy gets him a new Turd.. its not like the old one.. I say TOO BIG, GO WET IT!!
Dennis sees it and crys!! QUICK DADDY QUICK.. he makes a new Turd.. perfect..
And at almost 3 am after crying and laughter Dennis and Turd are fast asleep...

We were out today and I think my One had his first temper tantrum!
HOLY CRAP!
Dennis was behaving and One was throwing a fit! (if you knew them personally you would hardly believe it!)
One did not want me holding him while ordering subway today so he proceeded to SCREAM like I was stabbing him!... Dennis was trying to make swords out of straws.. it was WONDERFUL! To the nice old lady who came over to try to console One, thank you. You actually reminded me of my old Aunt Margaret (God rest her soul) and the 3 x you said GOD LOVE YA to him actually made my day... Poor One...
Even the workers at the store were coming over... I think they just wanted me to get the heck out...I am pretty sure they printed off our pics from the surveillance videos... I am going to be avoiding the 11 o'clock news!

Dear Hunters,
This is just a warning as I feel it is only fair to share it with you.
Go on killing your Bambi's and your Bambi's mamas.. but watch out...
after seeing the poor little deer run back and forth through our yard and hearing gun shots going off yesterday my 3 year old is ready for you!! He has his green sword ready for you... because you think it is okay to kill Bambi's in my neighborhood I had to explain the "art" of hunting to Dennis...
He wants to kill all of you. SO watch out. You have been warned.. dangerous 3 year old with swords armed and dangerous.

ah. life sometimes... so Keith and I found out we were pregnant last weekend... so so excited.. what a surprise.. after trying so hard for the littles this wonderful surprise.. and then yesterday when I had my ultrasound we found out that I had miscarried..
unfortunately we had told 'Dennis'.. I mean why wouldn't we... actually he was right there when we found out and since he had been praying for a baby I did not hide my elation..
so we told him after I got home yesterday... he is so precious... he says "the baby wasn't healthy mom?" I said No hun... so he gets a little smile on his face and says "can we pray for a healthy baby mom?? Can we?" so we did.
Kids... I am so thankful for mine.

I am so lucky to live where I live! Seriously.. my house is on a street that reminds me of when Bambi is walking through the woods with thumper.. you know the butterfly's flying bye, the birds in the trees all singing.. the animals scampering about.. Yet I am 5 mins from a dozen lakes, 15 mins to the beautiful ocean, 20 mins on either side of me are 2 cities... we even have a small pond that Connor and Keith are going fishing in after nap time!
Anyway... I always enjoy my run time- I get to encounter God through nature.. there was the one amazing time that I stopped halfway between my house and my destination and spent 5 minutes 100 feet from a beautiful deer.. we just stared at each other. I was looking deep into it's soul and it was looking into mine.. it was one of the most miraculous moments in my adult life.. I mean other than giving birth and all.. but wow. Today I was running and I heard a woodpecker.. I don't think I have ever been close to one.. I couldn't see what tree it was in so I said PLEASE GOD LET ME SEE THAT!!! and boom he(or she) flew right to the tree in front of me! It was pretty cool.. I try to have that joy in the little things :)

it's been way too long since i truly felt HOT... i finally am doing something about it.. i said 2007 would bring sexy back... haha.. well i just hit the 20 lb mark!! I finally lost 20 lbs! only 30-40 left to go! I can do it.. and man am i feeling better... someone called me on it.. asked my why i didn't do anything.. so i did. and i am SO glad I started!! so heres to a sexy 07 and a SUPER sexy 08!

I swear in the 5 years I have owned the Beasts they have woken up DAILY with the thought in mind to make my day harder... Why the anxiety Beasts?? I have ever NOT come home to you? NO... have I ever wanted to NOT come home to you? YES. Why must you not behave? Why must you eat things you should not.. Why eat the trash? Why not catch on that the bathroom is OUTSIDE... WHY! WHY?! WHY!!?? Thank you God for making me an animal lover.. thank you Aunt Margaret for having me fall in love with animals by taking in and feeding every stray cat... AND thank you God for not giving me the financial means to own a farm... I do love you beasts.. but PLEASE give ME A BREAK!!!!!

So yesterday in church one of my friends comes up to me... she happens to be the preschool aid in Dennis' class- she starts off by asking if I wear thongs (what you don't talk about thongs in your church!?!!) .. I'm sure with a scared look on my face I reply yes, she tells me that the other day in class Dennis was at the dress up station and his teacher tells him he can wear this silky/lacy thing on his head.. he tells her no thats underwear!! Apparently to him it looked like MOMMY's UNDERWEAR.. so my friend says guess he has seen your underwear huh?

Uh ya he has.. I walk around in it all the time... oops.. hopefully she is not picturing it on me now..

ahh.. the secrets shared by a 3 yr old....

This would be the same 3 yr old who peed in the dogs new bag of food and who told me when we were out to dinner that the picture of the man at the bar drunk on the wall- looked like a Norman Rockwell painting- was Jesus.

How could you not love him!? I do have to say anytime he tells me how much he loves me- too much as he puts it my heart melts

Everyone is sleeping.. the boys, the mister, the dogs & cats.. other than the sound machine coming from upstairs it is silent.. yet I am up.
I do not remember when the last time I had silent was. Yes I have a sleeping baby laying in my arms but what is more peaceful than that..
How often does a mother get this silence? Not too often.. I am lucky enough to get it when I go running (which I have been trying to do AT LEAST 3x a week) but other than that I just don't.
I think I sometimes forget that I am anything but a mother... I forget that I am a WOMAN... Tonight as I was laying on the floor trying to get my 100 sit ups in and watch Big Brother while the boys were around me I actually got frustrated that someone kept jumping on me.. ahhh... as I sit here in my silence I am thankful for those boys... I am so lucky to have them.. It is literally a miracle. There is nothing sweeter than sitting here staring at my own little boy as he lays dreaming in my arms.. THAT is heaven.
